If the children are well behaved, like sushi, and don't linger too long.
They provide takeaway, like Sushi.
We were recommended this restaurant by a friend and went with the chef's reccomendation (omakase) option. The sushi was incredible - fresh, varied, well-balanced tastes. But for ¥4000 I wonder if we could have gotten better value somewhere else. Perhaps it just ended too soon for my liking!
It was quite a wait as we only wanted the first floor counter seating. We noticed that people were also taking a longer time with their meal until we finally got our seats and understood why. The sushi chefs were friendly and very approachable till the locals engaged them them with friendly conversation. The seafood couldn't get any fresher (try picturing shrimp sushi with moving tail). Best sushi ever.
Small restaurant, a lot of people have to queue... Fresh food and noisy & active chefs...yhe soysouce a bit too salty. Not fancy place but decent
Sushi in Tsukiji... is the best choice? I’m not sure. Of course it is delicious and fresh but here is in Japan. On Sunday there were thousands of tourists in this area. Also there are so many sushi restaurants. It’s historical main branch and good.
One of the best sushi in Tsukiji and the fishbor shell fish are really fresh and tasty The environment is comfy and clean not very spacious but I felt very comfortableI order omakase (chef menu) it's around ï¿¥3850
I don't think I can ever have sushi in London again! It is sooooo much better in Japan!
It's hard to find omakase like sushisei. So good and quite affordable at the same time. You have to try this place. They make sushi for you one by one, very elaborately.
Great place to have sushi and sashimi in the Tsukiji fish market. Fresh fish, broad variety and friendly staff make it a real fun atmosphere and experience. Also a great place to meet locals and visitors from all parts of the world.
Good value sushi. Located in the middle of the Tsukiji market, this place offers good sushi at reasonable price. The place is also not too small, so guests can sit comfortably in the counter or regular tables in the second floor.
There’s another branch down the alley so if the lady points you to the other one don’t be alarmed! English menu is extensive enough. Or you can sit at the counter and point and order whatever you want. The sushi we had were really fresh and the rice was just the right amount and sticky enough that you can turn it around to dip the fish in the soya sauce without it falling off. For the cooked dishes, there is the abalone and also the sea cucumber with ponzu which are amazing. While the pricing isn’t cheap, when we were there, the other 12 guest were all locals. So that must say something about the place. Would recommend this place wholeheartedly.
Excellent service. Very helpful chef who catered for allergies! Amazing. Great food also.
Good service but the food is not worth the long line
Excellent sushi, great service and a good-humoured chef! You get to sit by the bar, see the fresh ingredients and the chef at work. This was my first Tsukiji sushi experience and I was spoiled after that! Once you try that super fresh fatty tuna nigiri there is no going back!
One of the more recommended fresh sushi restaurant within the Fish Market. Quality was A+
Excellent quality sushi and superior service.
One word. Divine. The staff barely speak english but the service is top notch. And the food... omg the food. You will never be able to eat sushi or maki elsewhere. Everything will seem tasteless compare to this. You are not ready! It's is pricy but well worth it. If you go early you will eat with japanese peaple and not tourists and they even might teach you how to properly eat sushi and maki. Genuine japanese experience.
The staff went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. They were very kind and we were treated like kings! The quality of the fish was astounding. The horse mackerel really stood out because it is a fish usually known for its strong fishy flavor but it was extremely delicate. The uni had a full, balanced flavor. Something only found in uni that was recently caught. The o-toro was the full rich flavor you'd expect from tuna with that fat content. The sweet shrimp was light and its flesh was soft. Absolutely impeccable. Easily the best shrimp I've ever had. These chefs are true masters of the trade! I will definitely return here!
Great place! Highlights were medium fatty tuna and egg sushi, plus the urchin gunkan maki
Sushi and sashimi do not get any fresher than this and the chefs' skills are noteworthy. And yet - to my standards - this very informal sushi place is way too expensive for what you get. I guess the prices skyrocketed along with Tsukiji's still-increasing popularity in the last few years
Had the crab rolls. Nice place to sit and eat. Very tasty.
A piece of shell in Shrimp sashimi A piece of shell and sand in a shellfish sashimi It’s rare to see such mistake in a omakase menu set
The sushi is wonderful and price is reasonable when I eat at the counter.
This place is great. The food is amazing, the staff is very friendly, and it is on my list for any trip to tokyo. Sometimes the wait can be a little long and other times I have just walked right in. The fish is amazingly fresh and everything is well priced. Add it to your list - go every time in Tokyo
The food is good, the service was quick & friendly
Delicious food. Tasted the sweetest shrimp in my life here. For those who visited Tsukiji market,Please stop by and try their sushi.
The best I had in my life
Good sushi at reasonable price in the heart of tsujiki market.
Okay sushi place. Started out really strong and then kind of went downhill towards mediocrity half way through.
Great place informal contact with chef.Chef only serves 2 people.Stayed for about 1.5h had live Abalone and live shrimp. Shrimp was still moving when on the plate ;)Great evening. Thanks chef Yoshi
The itamae was super cool and the sushi excellent. They even made us the ebi-nigirizushi with the shrimp still moving. New definition of fresh indeed. Price was ... A little pricey, but is worth it, specially for the tourists. I recommend you sit in the counter rather than the table
Very good food, but it can be difficult to communicate if you dont speak Japanese.
Very attentive uncle outside and can speak little English. It is a very cozy place to have sushi and not much crowd early morning. However the sea urchin is not that fresh enough. But still is delicious.
Fantastic sushi! Staff were very friendly and experienced. We asked for a referral from a tomago food vendor and they suggested Sushi Say. Delicious, a little expensive but very good quality. Would go back again and order more 😊
